Education.

We're dedicated to ensuring your professional and educational experience is right for you.

UniSA Law Students' Association offer a wide variety of competitions and careers-centred events throughout the academic year to ensure that you get the most out of your Laws degree.

Most of our competitions run in Study Period 2 (March – June), which allows students to progress to the Australian Law Students' Association's national student competitions often held in June – July.

Our major careers-centred events are the annual Trivarsity Law Fair (held in conjunction with The Big Meet), 'Ask A Clerk' Seminar, and the Combined Careers Networking Night.

This booklet can help you with planning your studies, balancing your study, work and social lives, as well as letting you in on all the handy tips and tricks to success at Law school.

Make sure to have a thorough read through. The UniSA Law Students' Association committee has dedicated some time to ensuring this document is as convenient and useful as possible.

Legal Referencing

UniSA requires that when writing assignments, you accurately acknowledge the source of any non-original material.

That is, any source you use that is not YOUR original thought or expression.

Legal citation is different from standard forms of referencing (such as Harvard Referencing). Your references need to comply with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (4th Ed.).

This is a style guide that directs you on how to set out a whole range of matters to do with writing, including how to footnote, heading styles, quotation styles, and how to cite an Act or a case.
